Upcoming Show Dates

Whiskey Road
Dry Branch (2009)
After more than 25 years The Boys, now with Lucinda, reentered the studio and produced their first recording, with 4 original tunes and a cover version of “Last Train to Clarksville.”

Live at Buddakan
Dry Branch (1975)
The only recording of The Boys from the dark period of the 1970s-1980s. The band reformed briefly for an international tour and a short-lived television show on ABC, “The Bourbon Boys Variety Hour,” which was cancelled after 1.5 episodes.

Best of The Bourbon Boys
Dry Branch (1967)
An unauthorized collection, compiled by Dry Branch after the band broke up.

Plugging In and Dropping Out?
Dry Branch (1966)
A very rare album: the original cover showed The Boys seated amidst several disassembled amplifiers and electric guitars while brandishing wrenches and screwdrivers. The cover shocked the music industry and was immediately pasted over with a more conventional picture of the band holding clearly grounded extension chords.

Drums, Schmums
Dry Branch (1966)
The Boys refuse to “modernize” their sound with percussion instruments, but add accordion to two tracks.

Live at Newport
Dry Branch (1965)
The CD reissue adds Lou Bourbon, Jr.’s, infamous onstage rant against Dylan’s electric set.

Appalachian Folk
Dry Branch (1965)
Released at almost precisely the same moment as The Kentucky Colonels’ Appalachian Swing, and forever overshadowed by that recording.

Whose Dang Liquor?
Dry Branch (1964)
With The Boys’ recording of their father’s famous tune, “Whose Dang Liquor?” featuring Lou Bourbon, Sr., on fiddle.
